I was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area and graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit. Photography has always been a fascination of mine and a big part of my family. I grew up admiring my Uncle, Tony Spina, Pulitzer Prize winning photographer of the Detroit Free Press (read bio). He was and always will be an inspiration to me.

I am a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), which is the world's largest nonprofit association for professional photographers, with more than 20,000 members in 54 countries. I am also a member of the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).

In 1990, I had the thrill of a lifetime meeting Pope John Paul II at a private audience in Vatican City. (See image).

I've had the honor of being nominated as one of Detroit's best photographers by WDIV Channel 4 in Detroit, Michigan. Some of my clients include Old Navy, M-Den, and the Saturday Evening Post.

My University of Michigan Football print is a top seller and was made exclusively available by the M-Den in their stores and catalog. (See image). For more information: http://www.mden.com

I really enjoy both the "traditional" and "photojournalist" approach to wedding photography, and the candid side of portrait photography. The most important thing we will do is have FUN. The best memories happen when we are being ourselves and loving our surroundings, these are the moments I want you to treasure. These are moments that I want to capture.

Even though photography is my number one hobby, some of my other interests include Major League Baseball, Sports Memorabilia, and Computers. My family and I live in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area.
